NEW DELHI, Feb. 23 (Xinhua) -- The Indian nationals in Iran were urged on Monday to leave the country by any available means of transport.
A fresh advisory issued by the Indian embassy in Tehran urged nationals, including students, businessmen, pilgrims and tourists, to leave the country by available means of transport, including commercial flights, because of the evolving situation.
Last month, India also asked its nationals to leave Iran after the country was rocked by deadly protests.
Reports said there are approximately 10,000 Indians in Iran, including many students. Apart from this, every year, thousands of Muslim pilgrims from different parts of India visit Iran. ■
