HANOI, Feb. 19 (Xinhua) -- Two people were killed and two others remain missing after a boat capsized on the Gianh River in Vietnam's central province of Quang Tri on Thursday, Vietnam News Agency reported.
The accident occurred at around noon while the boat, carrying seven family members, was traveling on the river.
The two victims were identified as a 68-year-old woman and a three-year-old child.
A 68-year-old man and a 14-year-old girl remain missing.
Local authorities said search and rescue operations are ongoing, but deep water has hampered efforts. ■
