SINGAPORE, Feb. 17 (Xinhua) -- Singapore's non-oil domestic exports (NODX) rose 9.3 percent year-on-year in January, accelerating from the 6.1 percent growth in December, data released on Monday by Enterprise Singapore showed.
Electronic NODX expanded 56.1 percent, supported by strong AI-related demand and a low base a year earlier, while non-electronic NODX fell 3 percent.
Non-oil re-exports surged 51.4 percent year-on-year in January, extending the 15 percent increase in December, driven mainly by electronics.
Overall, total merchandise trade rose 23.8 percent in January, following a 12.3 percent increase in the previous month, with both exports and imports recording growth. ■
