ISLAMABAD, Feb. 12 (Xinhua) -- Pakistan's economy is projected to grow between 3.75 percent and 4.75 percent in fiscal year 2025-26, indicating a gradual recovery amid improving macroeconomic conditions, State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) Governor Jameel Ahmad said on Thursday.
Speaking at a meeting of the Agricultural Credit Advisory Committee, the SBP chief said Pakistan has regained macroeconomic stability and is moving toward sustainable growth.
He said GDP growth stood at 3.7 percent in the first quarter of FY 2025-26, while inflation eased to 5.8 percent in January 2026.
The SBP last month kept its benchmark interest rate at 10.5 percent as Pakistan continues its economic recovery under a 7-billion-U.S.-dollar IMF program. ■
