KATHMANDU, Feb. 10 (Xinhua) -- A passenger bus en route to Okhaldhunga from Kathmandu plunged into a river in central Nepal's Ramechhap district on Tuesday, leaving at least 10 people injured severely, local police said.
The bus, reportedly with 13 people on board, including the driver, veered off the highway and fell about 100 meters into the Tamakoshi River, according to the police.
"We have rescued 10 individuals and taken them to a local hospital. Most of them are in serious condition," Rajan Prasad Timsina, spokesperson for the Ramechhap district police, told Xinhua.
The police are continuing the rescue operation with support from local residents, he said. ■
