YANGON, Feb. 5 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar's police have destroyed about 311 acres of opium poppy fields in Shan state, state-owned daily Myanma Alinn reported on Thursday.
The eradication operation was carried out in cooperation with local authorities across several townships in the state, the report said. ■
