KABUL, Feb. 4 (Xinhua) -- Afghan authorities discovered and neutralized over 24,000 landmines and other explosive remnants of war in various parts of the country in 2025 with support from partner organizations, local media Tolo news reported on Wednesday.
The mine clearance operations have played a vital role in improving public safety and reducing risks to civilians, especially in areas previously affected by conflict, the report said.
The cooperation with national and international organizations has been crucial in accelerating demining efforts and protecting communities from deadly hazards, it added. ■
