KABUL, Feb. 4 (Xinhua) -- Police have arrested five individuals over forgery and forging documents in the eastern Afghanistan Paktia province, the Ministry of Interior Affairs said in a statement on Wednesday.
"Police combating criminal offenses in Ahmadkhel District of Paktia Province have arrested five individuals in connection with forging documents intended for travel abroad," the statement posted on the social media X said.
The arrested suspects will be handed over to the relevant authorities after the completion of preliminary investigations, the statement added.
Without further details, the statement noted that police would spare no effort to ensure law and order elsewhere in the country. ■
