SINGAPORE, Jan. 30 (Xinhua) -- The Bayi Aerobatic Team of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) Air Force conducted practice flights at Singapore's Changi Airport on Friday, ahead of its flight displays at the upcoming 10th Singapore Airshow.

Six J-10 fighter jets from the team took off in the morning, formed up in the air and flew to a designated display area over the sea, where they carried out aerobatic maneuvers.

Over the display area, the aircraft made a low-level flypast, releasing six trails of red, yellow and white smoke, followed by a sequence of maneuvers.

Li Bin, leader of the aerobatic team, said three display plans had been designed based on local weather conditions and airport facilities. The team will conduct one validation flight in the coming days, followed by three performances, he said, adding that the pilots were in good condition and the aircraft were performing stably.

The airshow will be held from Feb. 3-8 at the Changi Airport. The appearance marks the team's return to the event since the seventh edition in February 2020.
