BEIJING, Jan. 27 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.5 jolted Kermadec Islands, New Zealand, at 2332 GMT on Monday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 10 km, was initially determined to be at 29.37 degrees south latitude and 177.11 degrees west longitude. ■
