HANOI, Jan. 21 (Xinhua) -- The Vietnamese government has ordered sectors and localities to draw up quarterly and full-year scenarios to strive for the country's gross domestic product (GDP) growth of over 10 percent in 2026, local daily VnExpress reported on Wednesday.
The directive is part of a newly issued government resolution outlining key tasks and solutions for socio-economic development and state budget estimates for 2026.
Under the resolution, ministries and local administrations have also been required to strengthen governance and administration, while maintaining macroeconomic stability, controlling inflation and ensuring major economic balances.
According to the National Statistics Office, Vietnam recorded GDP growth of 8.02 percent last year. ■
