KUALA LUMPUR, Jan. 20 (Xinhua) -- Malaysian former Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad is showing positive signs of recovery and will continue to undergo physiotherapy as part of his recovery process, his press team said in a statement on Tuesday.
The recovery process is expected to take a considerable amount of time, it said in a statement.
"The medical team and specialist doctors are currently satisfied with the progress of his recovery and treatment. However, the physiotherapy-based recovery process is expected to take a considerable amount of time," it said.
The centenarian has been admitted after suffering a fall on Jan. 6 and is being treated at the National Heart Institute. ■
