BISHKEK, Jan. 15 (Xinhua) -- The year 2025 was a fruitful and successful one for the relations between Kyrgyzstan and China, and their bilateral ties have a long-term future, Kyrgyzstan's Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeenbek Kulubaev said Thursday.
He made the remarks when answering questions raised by a Xinhua reporter at the annual foreign ministry press conference for 2025 held in the capital.
The past year saw constant contacts between the two sides, he said, citing a state visit to China by Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov, as well as meetings between the two heads of state on various occasions, during which they discussed bilateral and multilateral issues.
He noted that the Central Asian country has always gained support from China. "We think that 2025 was a very fruitful and successful year for Kyrgyz-Chinese relations, so if I were to give it a score out of 10, I would give it an 11," he said.
The Kyrgyz foreign minister highlighted a busy bilateral agenda in 2026, including multiple meetings with high-level contacts further promoting the development of bilateral ties.
"Overall, I believe Kyrgyz-Chinese relations have a long-term future, and, of course, we are committed to proactive contacts to further expand our opportunities," he said. ■
