ALMATY, Jan. 8 (Xinhua) -- Four people died on Thursday after a passenger car collided with a truck on the Astana-Petropavlovsk highway in northern Kazakhstan, the Kazinform news agency reported.
According to preliminary data from the North Kazakhstan Region police department, the passenger car entered the oncoming lane and collided with an approaching truck.
The driver of the car and three passengers died at the scene. A criminal case has been opened in connection with the accident, police said. ■
