HANOI, Jan. 7 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam earmarked around 1.15 quadrillion Vietnamese dong (about 43.76 billion U.S. dollars) in 2025, the highest amount ever recorded, local daily Nhan Dan reported Wednesday.
By the end of 2025, the country completed 3,803 kilometers of expressways, including interchanges and access roads, and 1,701 kilometers of coastal highways, exceeding targets for both networks, said the report, citing the Ministry of Finance.
The capital allocation also supported the opening to traffic of 455 kilometers of expressways, the groundbreaking of six new expressway projects, and the operation of various key infrastructure projects, including Terminal 3 at Ho Chi Minh City's Tan Son Nhat International Airport.
The state budget was prioritized for significant and inter-regional projects to create new growth drivers and enhance national competitiveness, according to the Vietnam News Agency. ■
