HANOI, Jan. 5 (Xinhua) -- Two people were killed after a residential house fire in southern Vietnam's Dong Thap province, Vietnam News Agency reported Monday.
The fire broke out at about 10 p.m. local time on Sunday, trapping two children inside the house.
According to the initial reports, the fire was likely to be caused by an electrical short circuit in a bedroom fan, with smoke inhalation killing the victims. Further investigation is underway. ■
