ULAN BATOR, Dec. 30 (Xinhua) -- Mongolia's measles death toll has reached 12 after one more related death was registered, the National Center for Communicable Diseases (NCCD) said on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, 22 people remained in hospital, including four critically ill children, the NCCD said in a statement.
The NCCD advised parents to protect their children from the potentially severe disease by getting them two doses of the measles vaccine.
Measles is a highly contagious viral disease transmitted by respiratory droplets and direct contact. ■
