BISHKEK, Dec. 25 (Xinhua) -- Kyrgyzstan's economy has been expanding at an unprecedented rate over the past four years, with key indicators showing that it has entered a trajectory of sustainable and high-quality growth, Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov said on Thursday.
Speaking at the 4th People's Kurultai, the country's political advisory body, Japarov noted that the average GDP growth rate over the past three years reached 9.8 percent.
"Economic activity has remained high this year as well. In the first 11 months of 2025, real GDP growth amounted to 10.2 percent, reaching its highest level," the president said.
Japarov highlighted improvements in key social indicators. In 2024, Kyrgyzstan's GDP per capita reached 2,513 U.S. dollars, and unemployment rate dropped to 3.7 percent.
Japarov also said that Kyrgyzstan has recently adopted a national program for state development through 2030, which defines four key areas -- industrialization, transforming the country into a regional transport and logistics hub, development of agriculture and tourism, and activation of green energy.
"As part of our industrialization program through 2030, we plan to double industrial production and increase the share of investment in fixed assets to 50 percent," he added. ■
