MANILA, Dec. 23 (Xinhua) -- Three people were killed after a truck plowed into a sedan along a busy highway in Muntinlupa City before dawn on Tuesday, police said.
The crash occurred when the truck rammed the sedan, which was carrying six family members. The force of the collision dragged the sedan several meters along the roadway, resulting in severe damage to the vehicle, police added.
Three of the passengers were declared dead, while the remaining occupants were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Police took the truck driver into custody as investigators worked to determine the cause of the crash. ■
