TOKYO, Dec. 12 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 6.7 struck off Aomori Prefecture in northern Japan on Friday, the country's weather agency said.
The Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) has issued a tsunami advisory for the eastern coast of the prefecture and other areas along the Pacific coast. ■
