KABUL, Dec. 10 (Xinhua) -- A three-day exhibition aimed at promoting modern farming technologies has opened in eastern Afghanistan's Ghazni province, local media outlet TOLOnews reported Wednesday.
According to the report, the exhibition features a broad range of modern agricultural equipment, including compact tractors, seeders, harvesters, and advanced irrigation systems. The machinery on display is designed to suit Afghanistan's varied terrain and support the needs of small-scale farmers.
Such exhibitions provide farmers with vital access to new technologies at a time when the country is striving to strengthen food security and modernize its agricultural sector, the report said.
It added that increased mechanization could enhance productivity and contribute to greater economic stability in rural communities. ■
