BEIJING, Dec. 9 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.0 jolted off east coast of Honshu, Japan at 1856 GMT on Monday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 40.3 km, was initially determined to be at 40.90 degrees north latitude and 143.34 degrees east longitude. ■
