KUALA LUMPUR, Dec. 7 (Xinhua) -- The bodies of two siblings who had been swept away during floods in Malaysia's Selangor state have been recovered following a two-day search, authorities said late on Saturday.
Kajang police chief Naazron Abdul Yusof said the 14-year-old's body was found trapped in a retention pond at 8:35 p.m. local time on Saturday. The body of the 12-year-old sibling had previously been recovered on Thursday.
The brothers were trying to retrieve a ball from a storm drain on Thursday when they were swept away.
The recent floods in Malaysia have resulted in elevated water levels in the country, with tens of thousands being displaced. Two other deaths had previously been attributed to floods. ■
