HANOI, Dec. 6 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam welcomed 19.15 million international arrivals in the first 11 months of this year, up 20.9 percent year on year, the National Statistics Office reported Saturday.
Arrivals by air accounted for the majority, with 16.2 million visitors, followed by 2.7 million arriving by road.
Asia remained the largest source market with over 15 million visitors, up 19.7 percent year on year.
Favorable visa policies, enhanced tourism promotion programs, and large-scale events held across various localities have helped attract a substantial number of international visitors to Vietnam, the office said.
Vietnam's tourism sector aims to welcome 22 to 23 million international arrivals in 2025, Vietnam News Agency reported. ■
