ISLAMABAD, Nov. 18 (Xinhua) -- Pakistan's textile exports surged by nearly 4 percent in the first four months of the current fiscal year 2025-2026, compared to the same period of the last fiscal year, the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) said on Tuesday.
The textile exports were recorded at 6.39 billion U.S. dollars in the July-October period of the ongoing fiscal year, showing a growth of 3.99 percent year-on-year, the PBS said.
The PBS said that cotton yarn, cotton cloth, knit wear, bed wear, towels, readymade garments, tents, canvas and tarpaulin were among the commodities that contributed to the trade growth in the textile sector. ■
