ISLAMABAD, Nov. 19 (Xinhua) -- Pakistan's navy has seized a large consignment of narcotics worth about 130 million U.S. dollars during an operation in the North Arabian Sea, the navy said on Wednesday.
The Director General Public Relations (DGPR) Pakistan Navy said in a statement that Pakistan Navy Ship Tabuk intercepted a stateless dhow while operating under the Saudi-led Combined Task Force 150 of the Combined Maritime Forces.
During the operation, more than 2,000 kg of methamphetamine were confiscated, marking the navy's third major narcotics interdiction in two months, according to the statement.
"Pakistan Navy remains resolute in countering illegal activities in the maritime domain, protecting national maritime interests, and contributing to regional and global maritime security," the DGPR added. ■
