PHNOM PENH, Nov. 13 (Xinhua) -- Cambodia made 453.5 million U.S. dollars in revenue from exports of natural rubber latex in the first 10 months of 2025, down 3.9 percent over the same period last year, said an official report on Thursday.
The report, compiled by the General Directorate of Rubber, showed that the kingdom exported 257,322 tons of the commodity during the January-October period this year, a year-on-year decrease of 11.6 percent.
However, the domestic consumption of rubber latex witnessed a significant rise of 117 percent to 99,118 tons in the first 10 months of this year, generating a gross revenue from the local sales of 179 million dollars, the report said.
Cambodia plants rubber trees on a total area of 425,443 hectares, of which the trees on 330,259 hectares, or 77.6 percent, are old enough to be tapped, according to the report. ■
