BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Nov. 12 (Xinhua) -- Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) is hosting the International Higher Education Summit & Exhibition on Entrepreneurship, Innovation & Commercialization on Tuesday and Wednesday near the capital, Bandar Seri Begawan.
The inaugural summit, attended by over 400 participants including representatives from Southeast Asian nations, is Brunei's largest higher education gathering focusing on entrepreneurship education, research commercialization, and startup development within universities.
The event emphasizes sustainable innovation and solutions for global challenges, supporting the United Nations Development Program's sustainable development mission.
UBD said the conference is aimed at promoting development based on innovation through higher education and is held to mark UBD's 40th anniversary celebration. ■
