NEW DELHI, Nov. 10 (Xinhua) -- At least one person was killed and a few others injured when a huge blast occurred inside a car parked near the historic monument Red Fort in Delhi on Monday evening, police said.
The injured were admitted to a local hospital.
The blast triggered panic among the public. A red alert sounded across the Indian capital city following the blast.
As a result of the blast, a few other cars in vicinity caught fire. Fire-extinguishers were called in and the fire was put off, said media reports.
Investigation was underway to determine the cause of the blast, police said. ■
