KUALA LUMPUR, Nov. 6 (Xinhua) -- Malaysia's services producer price index (SPPI) rose 1 percent year-on-year in the third quarter of 2025, maintaining the same rate for the second consecutive quarter, official data showed Thursday.
The Department of Statistics Malaysia (DOSM) said in a statement that the accommodation and food & beverage service activities index increased by 3.4 percent.
Other indices that recorded growth were education (1.4 percent), health (0.7 percent) and professional (0.6 percent).
Both transportation and real estate activities indices recorded an increase of 0.5 percent.
Meanwhile, the arts, entertainment & recreation index registered a modest increase of 0.4 percent.
In contrast, the information & communication index recorded a marginal decrease of 0.1 percent.
On a quarter-on-quarter basis, SPPI eased by 0.1 percent, compared to 0.3 percent in the previous quarter. ■
