NEW DELHI, Nov. 3 (Xinhua) -- Gross tax collections hit a new high in October at 1.959 trillion Indian Rupees (nearly 22 billion U.S. dollars), 4.6 percent higher than the same month last year, according to official figures released by the Indian government on Monday.
The rise indicated sustained consumer demand during the festive season in the country.
An annual growth rate for October 2024 to October 2025 was recorded at 7.8 percent. ■
