KABUL, Oct. 17 (Xinhua) -- About 3 million Afghan refugees have returned home over the past two years, Deputy Prime Minister on Administrative Affairs Mawlawi Abdul Salam Hanafi said.
"About 3 million refugees have returned home over the past two years," the state-run Radio and Television of Afghanistan quoted Hanafi as saying on Friday.
Hanafi said that providing shelter and creating job opportunities for returnees requires cooperation of businesses, charity organizations as well as international aid agencies. ■
