ALMATY, Sept. 9 (Xinhua) -- Nine drug laboratories have been dismantled in Kazakhstan since June 2025 as part of a national operation, the country's Ministry of Internal Affairs said Tuesday.
Authorities have uncovered 677 drug-related crimes since the operation began, seizing two tonnes of marijuana, 47 kilograms of hashish, three tonnes of cannabis plants, 155 kilograms of synthetic drugs, and 8.5 tonnes of precursors.
They also dismantled three organized criminal groups, including one transnational network.
The annual operation runs from June 1 to Oct. 31. ■
