India's forex reserves fall by 4.386 bln USD

NEW DELHI, Aug. 29 (Xinhua) -- India's foreign exchange reserves decreased by 4.386 billion U.S. dollars to 690.720 billion dollars during the week ending Aug. 22, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) said on Friday.

According to the RBI's data, the Foreign Currency Assets decreased by 3.652 billion dollars to 582.251 billion dollars, while the Gold Reserves decreased by 665 million dollars to 85.003 billion dollars.

The Special Drawing Rights decreased by 46 million dollars to 18.736 billion dollars, while the country's reserve position in the International Monetary Fund improved by 23 million dollars to 4.731 billion dollars.
