Senior CPC official leads delegation to Tajikistan

DUSHANBE, Aug. 26 (Xinhua) -- Wu Xiaojun, a senior Communist Party of China (CPC) official, led a CPC delegation to visit Tajikistan on Monday and Tuesday at the invitation of the People's Democratic Party of Tajikistan.

Wu, a member of the CPC Central Committee and the Party chief of northwest China's Qinghai Province, met with Shermuhammad Shohiyon, first deputy chairman of the lower house of Tajikistan's parliament, and Mirzoqosim Karimzoda, deputy chairman of the People's Democratic Party of Tajikistan, among others.

Wu also attended a thematic meeting on Chinese modernization and visited a Luban workshop.

The two sides exchanged views on implementing the achievements from the second China-Central Asia Summit, deepening inter-party exchanges, and jointly advancing Belt and Road cooperation.

The Tajik side expressed willingness to deepen the relations between the two parties, strengthen exchanges on governance and local cooperation, and build a high-quality Tajikistan-China community with a shared future.
