NEW DELHI, Aug. 22 (Xinhua) -- India's foreign exchange reserves increased 1.488 billion U.S. dollars to 695.106 billion dollars during the week ending on Aug. 15, the central bank said on Friday.
Foreign currency assets increased 1.924 billion dollars to 585.903 billion dollars, while gold reserves decreased 493 million dollars to 85.667 billion dollars.
Special drawing rights rose 41 million dollars to 18.782 billion dollars, while reserve position in the International Monetary Fund increased 15 million dollars to 4.754 billion dollars. ■
