HANOI, July 28 (Xinhua) -- Two people were killed in a house fire early Monday morning in southern Vietnam's Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam News Agency reported.
The blaze broke out at around 5:00 a.m. at a one-storey house where the homeowner operated a recreational fishing business, according to the report.
Despite efforts by nearby residents to put out the fire with water and fire extinguishers, the flames spread quickly, the report added.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. ■
