KABUL, July 26 (Xinhua) -- Afghan police have apprehended 20 criminal suspects in a series of operations across the country, the Ministry of Interior Affairs said Saturday.
The alleged criminals were arrested in the operations in the provinces of Nimroz, Nangarhar, Nuristan, Badakhshan, Herat, Faryab, and Samangan, the ministry said.
The suspects, accused of theft and illegal possession of arms, have been handed over to relevant authorities for investigation and potential prosecution, according to the ministry. ■
