NEW DELHI, July 21 (Xinhua) -- Indian Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar resigned from his post on Monday citing health reasons.
In his resignation letter to President Droupadi Murmu, Dhankhar said, "to prioritize health care and abide by medical advice, I hereby resign as the vice president of India, effective immediately."
Dhankhar was installed as the country's vice president in 2022. ■
