KABUL, July 11 (Xinhua) -- Five commuters, including a bride and groom, have been confirmed dead and another injured due to a road accident that happened in northern Afghanistan's Badakhshan province on Thursday night, provincial police spokesman Ehsanullah Kamgar said Friday.
Blaming reckless driving for the mishap, the official noted that the deadly accident took place on a road in Kasham district late Thursday night when the bride and groom were going to their residence, and five people, including the newly married couple, lost their lives on the spot.
A woman also from the same family was badly injured and shifted to the hospital, the official said.
