NEW DELHI, June 6 (Xinhua) -- India's central bank, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), on Friday slashed the repo rate by 50 basis points to 5.5 percent.
This was the third consecutive reduction in the repo rate announced by the RBI since February 2025.
Repo Rate is the interest rate at which the RBI extends loans to commercial banks. ■
