Mongolia, Austria sign cooperation documents

ULAN BATOR, May 26 (Xinhua)-- Mongolia and Austria have signed several cooperation documents to enhance bilateral ties, according to the Mongolian presidential office on Monday.

The documents, including a joint declaration between and a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in exchanging new technology and best practices in mining sector, were signed in the Mongolian capital, Ulan Bator.

Austrian President Alexander Van der Bellen arrived in Ulan Bator on Sunday evening for a four-day state visit, accompanied by a high-ranking delegation.

The state visit holds particular significance as it marks the first visit by an Austrian president to Mongolia since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
