VIENTIANE, May 20 (Xinhua) -- The 11th Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party (LPRP) convened its 10th plenary session on Monday to review the implementation of work plans for the first half of 2025, set priorities for the second half, and discuss preparations for the 12th National Congress of the Party.
The meeting, chaired by General Secretary of the LPRP Central Committee and Lao President Thongloun Sisoulith, is being held in capital Vientiane from May 19 to 23, according to Lao Economic Daily on Tuesday.
It is scheduled to review the implementation of socio-economic development, budget, and monetary plans for the first half of 2025, and to set priorities for the remainder of the year.
The meeting also focuses on advancing the national anti-drug campaign, reinforcing the Party's commitment to social stability, and finalizing preparatory documents for the 12th National Congress of the Party. ■
