KABUL, May 6 (Xinhua) -- The Afghan interim government has endorsed 21 projects worth 18 billion afghani (more than 253 million U.S. dollars), the office of the acting deputy prime minister for economic affairs said in a statement on Tuesday.
The projects included dams, roads, telecommunication and internet services, the statement said.
The projects are expected to provide jobs to hundreds of thousands of local residents, it said.
The Afghan interim government plans to launch more development and infrastructure projects to tackle economic challenges and create job opportunities. ■
