KABUL, May 4 (Xinhua) -- Six persons, including two children, were drowned as their car plunged into a reservoir dam in the western Afghanistan Herat province on Saturday, provincial government spokesman Mohammad Yusuf Sayedi said Sunday.
The deadly accident took place on Saturday due to reckless driving, the official said, adding that the female driver had also lost her life in the mishap.
The victims included two children and four young women, the official added.
This is the second traffic accident in Afghanistan over the past two days. A previous accident, which took place in the eastern Wardak province on Friday, left five dead and injured seven others. ■
