CANBERRA, Feb. 28 (Xinhua) -- A man has died after suffering a suspected medical episode while scuba diving at a beach in South Australia (SA).
SA Police said on Thursday that emergency services were called to Port Noarlunga beach, about 25 kilometers southwest of central Adelaide, just after 1:30 p.m. local time after a 64-year-old man was pulled from the water.
Police said in a statement that the man "may have suffered a medical episode" while diving near the Port Noarlunga Jetty, a wooden pier that leads to a small reef.
"Paramedics worked desperately to revive the man but sadly he died at the scene," SA Police said.
"There are no suspicious circumstances." ■
