KATHMANDU, Feb. 20 (Xinhua) -- Nepal's external trade increased by 13 percent in the first seven months of the current 2024-25 fiscal year as the country posted a surge in both imports and exports, according to figures released on Thursday.
The total trade stood at 8.03 billion U.S. dollars by mid-February, up from 7.09 billion dollars during the same period in 2023-24, showed the Department of Customs data.
The imports grew by 10.09 percent to 6.97 billion dollars during the period, while the exports jumped by 46.5 percent to 916 million dollars. ■
