JAKARTA, Dec. 10 (Xinhua) -- Indonesia's Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto expressed his confidence on Tuesday that the country will achieve its projected economic growth rate of 5.2 percent in 2025.
According to Airlangga, the optimism is supported by data from the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), which has forecast Indonesia's economic growth at 5.2 percent for 2025.
The minister said that efforts will continue towards achieving the broader economic growth target of 8 percent announced by President Prabowo Subianto, noting that strengthening the manufacturing sector will be crucial to realizing this target.
"Therefore, we are also encouraging the development of the manufacturing sector, along with certain natural resource exports, downstream processing, and the palm oil industry," he said. ■
