HANOI, Dec. 10 (Xinhua) -- The rapid growth of e-commerce and logistics in Vietnam is pushing up demand for warehouse real estate along with infrastructure investment, Vietnam News reported Tuesday.
The supply of ready-built factories and warehouses across the country has reached 15.1 million square meters, rising by 31 percent year-on-year, with strong growth across key localities, the report quoted real estate agency Savills Vietnam as saying.
With a national average rent of 4.60 U.S. dollars per square meter per month, the overall occupancy rate of 80 percent indicates high demand.
The ready-built factory and warehouse supply in Vietnam's southern economic zone and northern economic zone has reached 10.6 million square meters and 4.5 million square meters, respectively, said the report. ■
