JAKARTA, Nov. 23 (Xinhua) -- Six people were killed and seven others injured after landslides and flash floods hit Indonesia's North Sumatra province on Saturday, according to a rescuer.
Head of the Operational Unit of the Provincial Search and Rescue Office Kamellia told Xinhua that the natural disasters occurred in two regencies. The landslides struck Padang Lawas regency at 1:00 a.m. local time, resulting in four deaths and four injuries.
Flash floods hit South Tapanuli regency at 1:30 a.m. local time, killing two residents and injuring three others. ■
